No'body Beats The Drum - Grindin' Is an animation done by a guy called 'Rogier van der Zwaag' Using a variety of coloured cubes in different shapes and sizes. all together there was a sequence of 4085 different photos used to create the 2:50s animation.
I don't particulary like the animation as The Sound, colours and Speed of it all mixed together confused me and just gives me a headache and annoys me. The animation contains a variety of shapes in different colours and sizes and they all move in beat to the music which gives a warped kinda effect and it looks like you're traveling through the shapes as they move.

The Lone Ranger!
Our 'Lone Ranger' Project i thought went really well. We Used a variety of camera angels and shots Including Long shots, extreme close up's and even viewing the scene through the eyes of another camera. The plot of the project was a film about two guys' hatred for one another because of the previous meet encounter.
larytta - souvenir de chine Is a Video in which several different animals are caged in a triangular shape mirror box. What I find truly interesting about this video is the way each animal reacts to its reflection. The chickens were very calm but focused, the duck was confrontational but eventually found the female more important, the small green birds flew for a while before just sitting in the middle and staring at themselves, and the mice just said "hay another mouse you don't smell like a mouse oh well" and went to the center. I'd imagine none of the animals were too impacted by the psychological stress.
Cadbury Eyebrow Advert. I Personally think this advert slightly disturbing. It is completely irrelevant to chocolate and doesn't even relate to the tag line 'a glass and a half full of joy'. The two children used in the advert are both frightening looking are both very odd.

Documentary Critiques

Grizzly Man.
The documentary 'Grizzly Man' is about a man called Timothy Treadwell who lives with wild bears and acts like he is one with them. He connects with some of them giving them wild names such as Big Chocolate and referring to the bear as his best friend. While some say he's a very brave man, others Say he's a complete nut. The Documentary on it's own and the whole aspect of it i enjoyed, what put me of the film was the way the lead character acted, he had a really annoying voice and eventually it just made me want to stop watching it.

The Filth and The Fury - The Sex Pistols.
This documentary was about the famous Band 'The Sex Pistols' back in the 70's and their journey as a band. All the ups and downs they had together as a band and their friendship. This documentary grabbed my attention very quickly as i'm very musicaly inspired and all the modern day music i listen to all rooted from these 70, 80 and 90's bands and artists.

Bowling For Columbine.
I rather enjoyed this documentary as it had a lot of interesting information and footage within it. This documentary was about gun violence in America and where all the gun violence rooted from. Michael Moore was the main actor involved who went in Depth about the infamous shooting In columbine massacre which involved school children killing loads of people in their school.
Project : Split Screen.
Split screen is the visible division of the screen split in two or more smaller screens, each having different actions in each screen.
Split Screen has been used in various parts of Film, TV and Music Videos. A Popular music video example would be 'Billie Jean' by the world famous 'Michael Jackson', who used split screen through his music video.
An example of split screen on television would be on the childrens TV show 'Cbeebies'. At a certain time of the day Cbeebies used split screen to interact with the deaf children who enjoyed the program and all the charecters. Usually it was a women who narrated the show using sign language so the deaf children can understand what's going on.
Our split screen project consisted of 3 screens in a horizontal line with a conversation of the three characters, with them also walking between the screens as if they were all next to each other. I thought if we had a little bit more time we could have mastered the film and made it alot better to what the final outcome was.

Project : The Collision.
Our Project, Collision, was were a single character's facial expression was used in different manors. For Example a shocked face frame used then after an image of a dead animal could be used. So at first thought you would think the character is shocked at the dead animal, but by adding another picture of something like a live music gig, you would think the character was shocked at how bad/good the show was.

We Also did a whole class project which we imitated the music video to 'She Wants - Metronomy'. We took the everyday life of college and turned the music video into all sorts of bizzare and obscure things. Such a reading newspapers and books while sitting upside down & George bush sitting on the stairs. I liked the outcome to this movie and it had everyone taking part in a join effort to produce a god piece of work.

FINAL DOCUMENTARY IDEA.
The idea i had for my final documentary, was a documentary on my band 'Medusa'. It was going to include everything we get up to as a band, singular interviews with a few of the members and a bit of background information. Using live Footage from gigs and live recordings i was going to piece it all together in a kinda rough old timed interview way.
I was also going to include a small handful of gig flyers and posters to back up my documentary idea. Bad quality live gig footage was also going to used within my small film.
The Waiting room is a project which features a guy sitting in a clinic waiting for his results on Ghonereah. Throughout the very short minute film we try to make time spread out as long as we can, by slowing down a clip of a clock ticking, another guy sitting down looking chill and keeping the film as boring and as quiet as possible. Our film is roughly around 1 minute long and drags on. We filmed a clock and slowed down the hands to make time seem like it is taking longer. We also used a variety of shots such as a close up and long shot, the close ups give the viewer more emotion so they can see how the guy feels and how he is paranoid and worried. We used an extreme close-up on his eyes to build the tension and make it seem more tense
THE WAITING ROOM
The Raging bull fight scene is about two men in a boxing brawl, boxing. Many Camera angels and shots are used in this, The most noticeable and popular one is where the whole sound just dies, The Music and the cheering fades away to complete silent. The camera then focuses on close ups of their faces

Directed by : Jim Jarmush.

The Coffee and Cigarettes production involves 2 guys called Iggy Pop & Tom Waits having an awkward conversation over a cup of Coffee and a few Cigarettes. This was shot in black and whiter giving the effect that it was set in an old environment. The film attempted a comedy scene although i could see it, i didn't find it that funny at all, i found it quite boring. All i seen was an awkward conversation that lasted a lot longer than it actually needed to be.
RAGING BULL FIGHT SCENE
This project involved a dream world sequence in which the subject gets involved in dark magic and gets killed thus putting him into a nightmare dream where there is a black figure in all the scenes that is un-explainable and weird. Our Film has the elements of a surreal environment.

The first part we filmed was the dream sequence. This scene is the core of the surreal ideas. It was filmed at Mount Edgecombe and a night effect was added in post production. We used colour corrector to make the clouds look red. The contrast was increased alot for added effects.
The dream sequence shows a shadowed figure following a person. At one point he’s running away as he just stands there. There is the moment at the end where he turns in slow motion but you never see his face. This entire dream sequence was aimed to be gloomy and creepy. We were trying to make the viewer feel unsafe.
The real sequence is less sureal, and just mainly leads the film to the surreal dream. It starts with a person walking to the stairs as he notices an odd paper circle on the stairs. When he grabs it, he gets zapped by dark energy. He investigates further as he walks up the stairs and finds more discs. The journey to the top is made tense with the running and quick scene changes to someone writing in chalk at the top and the sounds of the footsteps are made to make a
